Ultimate Data Scraper ("the extension") is a Chrome extension that runs cloud scrapers on the Apify platform for the page you have open and lets you download the results. This policy explains what data the extension handles and why.
Summary
The developer of the extension does not collect, store, sell or share any of your data. The extension has no server of its own, no analytics and no tracking. The data it handles stays in your browser or goes only to Apify (api.apify.com), the service you connect it to, to run the scrapes you ask for.
Data the extension handles
Your Apify API token (authentication information)
- You paste it into the extension to connect your own Apify account.
- It is stored only in your browser (Chrome's local extension storage) on your device.
- It is sent only to api.apify.com, to start scrapers on your account, check their progress and download your results.
- It is never sent to the developer or anyone else. Click Disconnect in the Account tab to delete it.
The address of the page you have open (web history)
- When you open the extension, it reads the address (URL) of your current tab to pick the right scraper and fill in its settings. It does not read the page's content, and it does not read any other tab or your browsing history.
- The address is sent to api.apify.com only when you click Scrape, as the page the scraper should collect.
Your recent runs
- The extension keeps a list of your last 5 runs (scraper name, run ID, status, row count, start time) in your browser's local extension storage, so you can download results later. This list never leaves your device except as run IDs sent to api.apify.com to check status and download results.
Your Apify username
- After you connect, the extension receives your Apify username from api.apify.com and stores it locally to show which account is connected.
Apify
Scrapes run on your own Apify account, and their results are stored there. Apify's handling of your data is covered by the Apify Privacy Policy. Using the scrapers uses your Apify credit.
What the extension does not do
- No analytics, tracking, advertising or cookies.
- No collection of personal, financial, health, location or communication data.
- No reading of page content, keystrokes, clicks or other browsing activity.
- No selling or transfer of data to third parties, and no use of data for any purpose other than running the scrapes you request. Data is never used to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
- No remote code: all of the extension's code ships with the extension.
Deleting your data
Click Disconnect in the extension's Account tab, or remove the extension from Chrome. Either deletes everything it stored on your device. Data in your Apify account (runs and results) can be deleted from the Apify Console.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "Last updated" date.
